These doctors practice cookbook medicine, if you can get in to see anyone at all. They will only stare at their computers, do a cursory physical exam and then tell you your labs “don’t make sense” and they can’t help you because you don’t follow their algorithm. Honestly I feel as though these doctors are like talking to a bot. They don’t care.
Great physician
The one star is for the entire UCSD system- gatekeeping access to medical treatment by enacting 'asks', rules and review boards to determine if a patient is worthy their time to be previleged with the offer an appointment. I have not been able to see an arthritis specialist, been blocked from receiving their 'award winning care' by their policy system that forces patients to fall thru the gaping cracks in their system of denial to care! I am an original medicare patient and cannot get UCSD to make an appointment. I have been trying for over 30 days - just to schedule an appointment. First they want a referral (which i shouldn't need) and labs within 6 months and diagnosis. Then they want the referring physician to complete a questionnaire. Then they want the referring to send questionnaire with labs, etc. which was already sent. Then they take 10 business days to process. All this JUST TO SCHEDULE an appointment. Go to Scripps!
