Frank was in the hospital for a bone infection in his foot.. Our doctor called in some one else. And she was on vacation. In walks Dr. Markowitz. We knew at that very moment he was our man to cure this. We say it was fate that brought him to us. Just a wonderful doctor...... Always has a smile. And love his laugh. Dr. M is fantastic! He will leave no stone unturned. He listens, he explains things for my husband & I to understand. He is actively looking for more underlying conditions & he's usually right with his hunches. He's not a doctor to pick 1 diagnosis & throw pills at you. He digs deep to find the root cause. He will treat with long term antibiotics if he believes it's necessary. He also believes in more than medicine to treat and help work with the medications. I can not say enough about Dr. M. Dr. Markowitz is brilliant. Not only did he cure me of a long term illness, he saved my husbands life. He not only went the extra mile, he went the extra 100 miles for him. His staff is not underpaid -as a previous comment states. He pays them well. They are just occasionally unpleasant. He is worth it. Best doc ever.
I was ill for a long time, went to many M.D.'s with no results. Then I found a holistic M.D. who suspected that I had Lymes Disease, she went to a conference on Lymes, when she came back she was convinced I had Lymes Disease. She recommended Dr. Markowiz, she said he is one of the best M.D.'s for treating Lymes Disease.
Do yourself a favor a find someone else. This operation is bad on so many levels. I never write reviews but if I can stop one person from making the mistake I did then its worth it. There are other lyme doctors, keep looking!
Dr. M is slightly arrogant. He didn’t look at me, shake my hand or introduce himself. Sat down, reviewed my chart and said “What can I do for you?” In his defense the guy has been practicing medicine since I was in diapers- literally. I told him I was diagnosed with RA and have been following an antibiotic protocol. Although not an advocate, he didn’t judge and said he was in favor of what works. Dr. Markowitz saved my life. It was 13 years ago that he began to treat me for Lyme Disease, by the time I had found him I had been on steroids for 2 1/2 years, mis-diagnoised and at my wits end. He was the first Dr. that listened to my symptoms, ran the right tests and treated me accordingly. He was patient, understanding and treated the whole person, not just the disease. Dr Markowitz is awesome!!!! Very eccentric in style. My sister is being treated for lyme disease after 12 years of suffering. We found Dr Arnold and drive 2 hours for appts.We love your 70's style. He is the only doctor that searched for a dianosis for her illness.And she is now feeling a differance in her pain. It will be a long treatment but we trust he will cure her.for years no other doctors would search for a dianosis!!!!!! Keep up the good Job Doc.
