Dr Armstrong is amazing! I don’t know who these naysayers are but they must be speaking about another doctor! He is always polite, friendly, courteous and professional and takes as much time to explain as necessary! Even if you don’t like what he’s telling you he is nice all around! I’ve seen him on and off for 10 years and highly recommend him!
Dr. Armstrong is downright rude. Looked at my husband with complete disdain when he told him that he was too fat, needed to lose weight & needed a liver transplant while he was in the hospital. After he got out of the hospital, we found a specialist who deals with liver transplants and was told that he was no where close to needing a transplant. After dealing with Louis Armstrong for the past several years, it’s as if the positive reviews were planted. We’re finding a new dr.
Worst doctor I’ve ever met. Extremely rude and talked over me while I was answering a question. Demeaning and downright disrespectful. Would never recommend him to my worst enemy. He needs to get rid is his serious God complex. What a joke!
We drove to Houston to see a GI because of the poor reviews here for Dr Armstrong. The Houston doc didn’t even examine or explain anything and tried to sell us his probiotics. Dr Armstrong was kind and caring and professional. I was scared by the reviews as well but I think he’s a great doctor. He spent a lot of time talking to us and actually helped!

I was apprehensive about my first appt with Dr. Armstrong because of reviews, but I was very impressed by him. He explains ever6thing, takes his time, very sincere, friendly and positive. All the worrying was for nothing. I am very satisfied with him and his staff.
Excellent physician, explained the two procedures and answered questions.
He is a joke. My mother had been sick due to gastroparesis since 12/10. She had been hospitalized in and out of the emergency and etc. We couldn't get an appointment until 1/16. She made it till then. Keep in mind that this is his speciality..He told my mother there was nothing he could do for her. We were able to book an appointment 1/19 with Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio and the next day my mother was feeling better. I feel like they saved my mothers life. Don't waste your time.
Dr. Armstrong was possibly the rudest doctor I have ever visited in my 26 years with UC. He was in a hurry, did not listen, and changed my dosage with no regard to my previous doctor of 6 years advice. When I told him that I was concerned about a flare up because for the past 6 years I've been on this dosage and doing fine he became agitated. The whole visit lasted 7 to 8 minutes and in that time he decided he knew better than all my previous doctors. DO NOT SEE HIM. Staff was very friendly
