Horrible We went to this restaurant on Mother's Day. We walked in and were ignored by the host. Instead he sat a party of 5, then came back and sat us. As we sat down at our table, I needed to use the restroom. I excused myself to find it. When I returned, my husband had asked for a booster seat so our son could sit down. bad food I was taken to your establishment last week Thursday night for my birthday and ordered your Yucatan Shrimp bucket. It arrived cold and very greasy. It was far from tasty I ate some out of the respect of my friend that took me out for my birthday due to the fact I didn't want to embarrass her as she picked the restaurant I did not report it.
The Armadillo I love the armadillo! Their chips and salsa are probably my favorite food. I'm addicted. I think all the food is good, everything I've tried at least. I'm a vegetarian and they are one of the few Mexican restaurants that have good vegetarian green chile. I go there at least once a week, and most the waiters know who I am. The service for the most part is good, but I will admit every once in a while I get a server who just provides horrible service. This does not happen often though.
Armadillo Border Wife wanted mexican so this was my first time to Armadillos. The restaurant is clean and looks nice inside. I ordered a combo meal, the food was average tasting at best my wife ordered a burrito supreme that was thin. The chips were store bought and the salsa tasted like a diluted pizza sauce. The prices are average but the quality of the food is average at best. I will look for someplace else next time we want mexican.
Armadillo Aurora over all the food was okay. The downside of it is that if you pay with your credit card be sure to check your statement because I was over charged even though I left a tip. If I ever go there again I will always pay cash.
[a tad less] Hungry for /real/ Mexican in Denver [finally] Aside from the avg service (I guess I got lucky) the food was actually pretty good. The green chili sauce on the chimi was actually spicy. The wife's ground beef in the taco thing was VERY good. The salsa tasted like sweet spaghetti sauce, but apparently EVERY friggin place in Denver is like this. Poor Service Used to go to this restaurant around once a month, mostly because there arenât many Mexican restaurants in Aurora to choose from that arenât located in a old strip mall. The food is Fair, but itâs nothing to get excited about. The problem is the service. While there are a few employees that seem to work hard, like the busboys. Wonderful Mother's Day For the past four years, we have eaten at the Armadillo in Aurora for Mother's Day. We are very pleased with the food and service. My daughter and son-in-law also love the eat there. The food is the best that we have had for a Sunday brunch, many choices, and always refilled to perfection. I especially love the color of the restaurant and how clean it is. I would recommend it to everyone.
