The did a contact fitting for my daughter. Charge over $100 to learn how to put in contacts (said insurance did not cover) and then refused to give her the prescription because she did not pass her "test" of being able to put both contacts in multiple times. They refuse to give us the prescription unless we pay an additional fee of $50 per visit to continue to "learn" how to put in the contacts until they are satisfied. The doctors are excellent but the front desk lady I spoke with was extremely rude. I will be bringing this to the doctor’s attention during my upcoming visit.
Norvell and Dr. Douroudian were extremely helpful and knowledgeable with a vision scare my daughter experienced. If you are new to the neighborhood and looking for an ophthalmologist for your child, start with this one.
Avoid this place at all costs. Arlington Loudoun Pediatric Ophthalmology is hands down the worst medical office I’ve ever dealt with. The customer service is appalling—the front desk staff are rude, unhelpful, and completely disorganized. There was zero communication before, during, or after the appointment. We were left waiting for an absurd amount of time with no updates, no apology, and no sense of urgency.
