I hate having to go to the dentist! But if I have to go ( and I do since it’s a matter of good health and hygiene), First Family Dental is definitely my choice. They are efficient and begin appointments on time. They are thorough and careful (gentle) when cleaning. They use restraint in recommending procedures. I have a 4 year and 2 year old. Both girls are scared as normal kids are going to the dentist. Been here twice so far and both experiences have been great. Especially from my second visit. Because of the great staff, my 2 year willingly walked into the room alone without me with her and did the cleaning all by herself while I attended my 4 yr old.
My family has been going to 1st family dental for quite some time but I stayed with my regular dentist of 30+ years. After my family kept praising them (Dr Basha specifically), I finally made the switch. I had gone to my regular dentist after 4 years of being away and didn't recognize any of the new faces, and they were very ambiguous and impersonal. I took my daughter and there they were very friendly and explain everything that they were going to do in a vent my daughter was very happy
The staff are very good at keeping you comfortable and are continually explaining what they are doing.
A few months ago, I had to have root canal work done on one tooth. I was worried that this tooth could not be saved because most of it's structure was destroyed. However, Dr. Tannous was able to save the tooth by building up the structure so a crown could be put on it. This was really important to me because the tooth was located in the front where it could be seen. The three dental hygenists, Natasha, Chacha, and Linda, were also very helpful.
