Had to use this guy for an appraisal. He appraised my house at 207,000. I got a second opinion from a realtor, and paid for a second appraisal that came in at $269,000. $62,000 difference…25%…that’s a huge deal. My house is 5 houses from the lake. He used houses with the airport runway in the back yard, citing that all the other comparables are “recently renovated” and mine isn’t.
