Everyone was great from the doctors & nurses all the way to the housekeeping staff! Great experience!
I have always been very happy with the treatment my dad has received here - until today. he was made to check in a 9 for an 11 AM procedure. then he was IGNORED until I got angry at 1PM. At that point, he had not been on the heart monitor for over an hour (in a heart hospital) without anyone noticing. Suddenly, after I complained, the nurse practitioner was in here apologizing. a little communication would have saved that. Emergencies happen. That's understandable. Being completely ignored is not.
My Mother-in-law, Eva Nell Swilley, had a pacemaker put in today. She is still presently a patient on 3rd floor, and has been taken care of extremely well, in true professional form with kindness and competence by all. Three people that I want to point out who went over & beyond were Paul and Carolyn, at the nurses’ station, 3rd floor, and also the young lady who was in charge of and administered her nuclear stress test. I am a Critical Care Nurse at AHH, I knew we provided extraordinary care. I got a first hand experience with it this week with my own family member. What an awesome group of folks from Doctors to Nurses to Respiratory Therapists to Environmental Services to Dietary staff it was more than my family could have ever expected.
