I have been bringing my Rabbit, Dopey, to AEAH since March of 2015. The staff and Dr. Lamb have been wonderful. Dr. Lamb is caring and compassionate about her job and animals. She will discuss the health of your loved one (pets) and explain reasons as to what the outcome may be. Dopey has been well taken care of and I would not take him elsewhere. Thank you AEAh, Staff and Dr. Lamb for the valued care your provide.
Everyone there is wonderful. Dr. Lamb is an awesome doctor. And even though my baby bird died, she did all she could. She's been wonderful with my blue and gold macaws.
We would like to thank Dr. Lamb, Dr. Starks and all the staff at the Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital for all their help with our 42 year old Double Yellow Head parrot "Leon". Leon was very sick. Dr. Lamb was excellent! After many tests and a blood transfusion he started to recover a little. However, he still had a troublesome road to travel. Our little guy most likely had heart issues and two months later we lost him. He received the best care possible at the Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital. These guys are amazing! My bearded dragon ate a rock, and was not passing it. After some searching, I found these guys. The receptionist was friendly and wonderful to talk to. She was also empathetic (which is hard to find). Dr. Starks was very knowledgeable and handled my little guy with care. Which was more than another vet (not to be named, from the Prescott area) who was very rough and left our guy gaping for air on the exam table like he was going to have a heart-attack. Your male receptionist just told me you will not see 3lb monkeys for health certificates due to health and disease risks! I did not pull them out of the jungle! They are both UDSA bred, healthy, friendly primates.
On Saturday we took one of our rats, Tucker, into the vet to be treated for some heavy breathing and congestion. We paid $200 for treatment and an EXAMINATION from one of their "exotic veterinary specialists" He was diagnosed with pneumonia. We did EVERYTHING the vet told us to do. We got the steroid shot, we got an inhaler for him, we gave him the antibiotics, we cleaned the cage, we gave him the food supplement they recommended.
