Find another provider. Avoid this man. This guy is a doctor of Neuropsychology & Behavioral Medicine. One should be able to infer from the specialty name that he and his staff would be highly trained and highly skilled in dealing with abnormal behaviors and mental states. That they would have outstanding empathy and understanding for the patients and caregivers they worked with. That they would almost innately know the behaviors they were seeing and would be able to react appropriately. That they would have superior abilitie... read more
Not a very good experience, I could echo many of the other one-star reviews. Excessive ego, preconceptions influencing diagnosis, confusing (and inflated) billing- staff couldn't explain several hours of what they billed. When asking questions for clarity, office staff immediately became defensive. I recommend looking for other options.
I was going to take both my son and I to Dr Arias for testing just for our own information. Very inaccurate report. First I was frazzled because they said I was late, but actually checked in early. They forgot to give me the correct time for the time change. He spent less than 10 min with me, and passed me off to someone else for the tests and questions. My report had incorrect medical information and he basically rated me as below avg in several areas and indicated the prior Dr was not correct with me having post concussion syndrome. I could go on! This was for workers comp.
This place has no idea about evaluating autism. A 20 minute face to face-to-face meeting with the "neuropsychologist", a paper/pencil questionaire, and 4 hours of intelligence testing DOES NOT evaluate my experiences and struggles socially & emotionally. I will still self diagnose as autistic because I have learned how to mask heavily after 40 years. (What is funny is that the "doctor" couldn't figure out I was weraring my out in public mask and he has no idea who I I truly am.) I paid a lot of money for absolutely nothing!
