RecommendedCalled shop first to inquire about a camera cleaning. He asked a lot of questions and told me to bring it in. I drove 60 miles one way to drop it off and pick it up the next day. When I got there, he spent about 20 minutes checking it out and showing me how to see the dust on the lense. He was friendly and honest and told me he really didn’t think it needed to be cleaned at this time. After my go-to repair shop closed (and not wanting to deal with NPS), I went shopping for another "local" shop and found Archinal. They did a super job replacing the camera strap lug on a Nikon dslr. I know this job requires the near complete disassembly of the camera but they were able to repair it within a day and get it shipped back in no time. I don't think I've ever experienced that kind of turnaround for camera repair. I only wish I'd found Archinal years ago. Thanks!
I took my Nikon SLR into Robert's shop to have him check my malfunctioning autofocus. He quickly discovered that the problem was the lens, and suggested replacement rather than repair. And even though he does not sell equipment, he gave me suggestions and advice about ordering a replacement. While I was there, he checked my sensor and gave me some excellent pointers on how to more effectively use all the many features on my camera. All at no charge. Robert is amazing: kind, courteous and knowledgeable. He removed a stuck, cracked filter at no charge AND gave me tons of extremely useful information on using my camera. I highly, highly recommend this excellent professional and will be back for sensor cleaning.
Excellent customer service. Not only was my camera repaired but I received a 20 minute lesson to help me get much better results from my Canon. Will definitely use for all my camera needs.

Wow, I made my first trip to Archinal and never have been more impressed with how Robert treats his customers! He is very knowledgable and incredibly informative, not to mention going out of his way explaining some of the issues you may be having, including tips, etc. I recommend this company highly and won't hesitate going back if I should have any further issues with my camera or lens.
