We found that most of the caregivers were very unreliable. They either didn't show up, quit, or were fired so there was a continuous turnover of strangers caring for our parents. Many of them spent most of their working hours on their cell phones conducting personal business. They knew very little about housekeeping or meal preparation. The few good caregivers moved on to better jobs.

Horrible company to work for. They don't appreciate their employees. Will work you for 6 weeks straight, then when you try to get ahold of someone or talk to someone they are coincidentally never available. They lied to me and my sister in law about our vacation pay, saying we only needed a few hundred more hours, then 3 months later somehow we still needed the same amount, yet we worked 5-7 days a week every week after that call. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone, they are horrible to work for.

As a nurse case manager, I've always encouraged family/friends and customers to advocate for their loved ones. 3 years ago my husband was diagnosed with ALS - As I manage most of his care, we also tapped into resources with assist from HHC/Arcadia. I made several calls to a variety of agencies, "interviewed" to assure a good match.
