I truly value the doctors and most of the staff—they have been consistently kind and professional. However, I have had repeated troubling interactions with the billing representative in the adult department. I always pay my balance upfront and have never had an outstanding amount. Despite this, I have repeatedly felt that my ability or willingness to pay was being questioned. These interactions have felt disrespectful and, at times, humiliating. We moved here from Texas never having a bad experience with a dentist. My boys 8 & 10 had their first cleaning at aqua dental 7 or 8 months ago had no issue and no issues with the male dentist he was great. This time around the boys had dr Tara for the dentist. My youngest was having a rough day already pretty emotional and was having a rough time getting his teeth cleaned(not the hygienist fault). I called the office this morning to ask a few questions about a deposit in my account and what my insurance had covered. I was transferred to the insurance department and believe I spoke with Jami Denny. Unfortunately, she was very dismissive and wouldn’t let me finish explaining my questions. When I pointed out that there was no need to be rude, I received only an “okay, goodbye” — no apology or acknowledgment.
