Stated on my appraisal that my home was on a private road with home owners association. My home was on a highway not a private road. This held of up closing forcing us to cancel our closing day until this was rectified satisfactorily to the FHA underwriter. Very disappointed a person who lives in this area didnt know a highway from a private road let alone a well used highway like whiteville rd highway 130. ** Resolved promptly.
Ultra conservative. Refused to use a comparable house that sold six months ago across the street as a comp. Appraisal was so low that could not refinance. Recommend you do not use this appraiser, and if he wins the bid to be your appraiser you do whatever you can to have another chosen instead.
