We've had a very positive experience with our two younger boys at ABS West Chester over the past 2+ years. The staff has consistently worked with us to define appropriate developmental goals and treatment / educational plans, and we've appreciated their openness to discussing and modifying these in response to our concerns and/or situations. ABS manger Carrie Hooghe should not be in charge. She is completely unprofessional with her employees. If you put in a two weeks notice she will find any little thing to tell you not to come back as she’s done with multiple employees. There is a reason they have such a high turn over rate and it is because of her. Employees try to avoid her and she is not warming or welcoming.

My review from May 2019 has disappeared!!! I was able to retrieve most of it from a screenshot . It is as folliws: therapist was then unable to control. Our grandson was then locked in a 5 x5 seclusion room. I had not been told the therapist would be initiating a meltdown during therapy. Our family also had no knowledge of the seclusion room. I had to insist the door of the seclusion room be unlocked. My grandson fell to my feet sobbing and screaming. I was able to walk him to my car, never to return again. The following day... read more
