Appliance Discount Center (formerly "Perkins Appliance") was started by Mike and Gayle Perkins in 1961, shortly after Mike left Lakewood's Furniture on Main Street in Bountiful, where he learned to repair appliances. For many years, the business was operated from the Perkins' home in Centerville and was doing only appliance repair. Bought a Speed Queen washer and dryer. No problem with the top load washer but the dryer left black marks on only nylon cloth when they were dried. Service was great as Gerald contacted the factory and found the problem. He ordered a new enameled drum and gaskets. He replaced the old drum and gaskets free of charge. We will be back because of his great service.
