We had Applewood Plumbing and Electric come out yesterday to replace a water heater that broke down on Saturday (always happens on a weekend), the technician who was very nice gave us a quote of $6300 we declined service because we had just had our water heater replaced in AZ, it wasn't that much. I called around was recommended by two people to call a certain company and we did, after a few pictures the owner gave us a quote which was almost 3X's cheaper than what Applewood wanted to charge us at $2100 for the same product.... read more

Applewood Wanted $392.02 to install a customer supplied doorbell. They wanted $433.08 to change out the transformer. (Transformers are under 50 bucks) $825.10 total. That's a club member price. Do they think people are that stupid to pay $825 for a hour of labor and under 50 in parts. I learned that I must of gotten screwed when I paid them for a furnace repair during a deep freeze this winter. Always look elsewhere, Forget Applewood

The plumber that came on 03/09/22 named Jeff K. looked me directly in my eyes and advised me that the water main valve in my house did not work. Because it was in a hidden spot and I had never needed to use it before, I believed him. This valve needed to work so the leak in the pipe could be fixed. WELL, the next day I discovered that the water shut off valve to the whole house DOES work. It was apparent to me that he did not think I would double check the valve. Very pleased with the work Steven Clarkson, Erin Smith & Tony Lowen provided in putting in a new water heater. They were very professional, honest at upfront. The job took a little more time than scheduled, but Tony stayed & competed the job. Would recommend Applewood & will use them again. Susan R

DO NOT USE APPLEWOOD!!!! The company does not stand by their workmanship. I had Applewood install a shower fixture 3 years ago and replace the copper behind the wall and it is already leaking causing expensive repairs to my unit and the condos below. They charged over a $1,000 for this simple job! The company sent a tech out but they are refusing to fix the leak or provide any remedy. When I escalated to the service manager he was rude and offered no apology or support. Can’t believe they can stay in business.

This company uses high-pressure scare tactics to try to make as much money as possible. I did not feel comfortable with this electrician in my home. He was aggressive and patronizing and at one point I told him he “should leave.” I heard that Applewood Plumbing was “scammy” before I contacted them but decided to still give them a chance. But now that I have firsthand experience I absolutely agree. Robert with Applewood Plumbing is great - professional and timely and came back to my house at no charge to fix a small issue that I was not happy with...although I think there are cheaper solutions out there, I truly appreciated the customer service and follow through by Robert and the office staff.
