I like this place. But there is a lack of consistency. I used to get a pizza once a week. Now maybe once a month or two. And the reason is that I'll get home & there's this big air bubble. And sometimes the guys try to go so fast that they fail to make even swab of olive oil around the outside crust. The Applewood pizza has for years been the best tasting pizza. But perhaps I'm just getting cranky in my old age
I live in San Francisco, but I travel all the way out to Applewood Pizza for the (in my opinion) best pizza in the whole Bay Area!!! I absolutely love their regular crust style pizza! Lots of families frequent their restaurant, so it might get a little crowded with kids, but it's never overwhelming. For deep-dish I go to Golden Boy in North Beach.
Don't count on them delivering on time if you order using the online system you call more than once to ask where your pizza is you won't get it
