Your comment about trying to find out who the negative comment reviewers are and threatening to sue them is a complete lie! How would you be able to identify them if city search only displays your first name and last initial? This is a public forum and people can write and review in any matter they want (as long as the reviews are not physically threats). Bizarrely Conflict-Oriented Bullies – This company's threats to sue authors of critical reviews on CitySearch (see below) perfectly illustrates the problem with this business and its attitude toward tenants. Appleton proves the merit of such complaints by demonstrating just the behavior complained of in its response. And here's another complaint, for which I'm sure they'll threaten to sue. RE Worst Landlord Ever – Attention Reviewers: We have identified the author of the negative comment below. These people sued us in small claims court regarding their issues. Both sides presented their case and the relating issues to the judge. The judge dismissed the case in favor of Appleton Properties Inc. and awarded us court costs and recourse for damages if we chose to persue the matter. We elected to accept the verdict. Worst landlord ever!!! – This place is trash. I agreed 100% with what other said about this place. The service is so bad. Not sure if it's them or the people they hired because no one seems to care about us. All they want is our $$$. I had a leaking pipe, call them up to fix it and all they say is we're busy. I had to use a bucket to hold the leaking water and clean out the mess myself day after day. It's been two weeks now and they still said they're not sure when they'll be free to fix it. Misleading reviews – I am amazed at some of the comments made here! It seem's to me that most were written by one person. I have been a contractor for Appleton properties for several years and have never heard any of the complaints posted here. Many are patently false. Their offices are large, well lit and clean. They follow up with contractors in a timely manner, and go to great lengths to make sure jobs are done correctly. Why, in all the postings has no one signed off with their name?? Strange. Swift resolution to my billing issue. – I recently purchased a home in one of the subdivisions which Appleton manages for the HOA. Upon receiveing our second bill we noticed some erroneous charges on our statement from the month prior. I called the staff and they resolved my concern swiftly and in a most professional manner. Not to mention our front yard is perfectly manicured! Bravo Appleton, keep up the good work! Happy homeowner.
False and Unfounded comments – we are in the process of discovering the individual source of negative comments in reference to Appleton Properties, Inc. services on this site. These comments are unfounded and originate from a recent disgrunted entity. Our Law firm has advised us to proceed with a liable suit against these individuals and the site that is hosting, unless a retraction is made within 30 days. It is our intention to proceed.
