Office obviously doesn't pay attention to reviews – I just called the office to make an appointment, during office hours and listened to a recorded message that was not well thought out. I have no complaints about the business itself but they do need to produce a better phone message and follow up on calls quicker than they do.
Wonderful staff, great doctor – The staff at Appleton Eye Associate in the Methuen branch is wonderfull. The office is located in the historical part of Methuen next to the historical Methuen Memorial Music Hall. The office personnels are very pleasant and helpful and make you feel important and welcome. They are very attentive to your needs. good doc, strict policy – Appleton himself is very knowledgeable and explains everything. The office strictly limits how may contact lenses you can buy online, so forget about buying several different kinds to evaluate them or to have a backups for lost lenses. One box per eye only.
Great doc but VERY inconvenient – I have been dealing with this practice for 3+ years now. (after writing this, I'm not sure why I haven't gone elsewhere). The up side is that the optometrists have always been kind, patient and professional. The optometrist I first went to has since left the practice, but the new optometrist who took her place is also great. It's okay, but... – I've been a patient for a few years. Office location is perfect for me and I love Dr. Kevin but the experience of actually trying to make an appointment (or trying to get through to the office for anything at all) is almost annoying enough to make me want to switch. Case and point... I've called at least ten times in the last two days for a simple request and each time I get either a busy signal or the machine. Yuck.
Stay as far away from this place as you can – Called to make an appointment couldn't get any information from them without telling every last detail of personal info then was told I had to wait for 2 months for an appointment ! The lady on the phone was absolutely as nasty as you can imagine. Wow Can't imagine how they stay in business. I had read another review similar to mine and thought oh well maybe it was just something with that person. Now I know everything she said sure was absolutely right on!
LOOK FOR A BETTER PLACE THIS ONE IS AWFUL – Person answering phone has nasty mean attitude, will not even give you any idea of appointment availability until she has all personal info which it took over 15 minutes for her to write down.. Then gives appointment for a simple eye exam 9 Weeks out!!!! Claims that is the soonest! She was highly insulting the whole time the tone of voice alone was enough to make you cringe!. Seeing Clearly – It make take literally 10 tries to get through to the office, but it is worth the effort once you get to the exam room or choose from an extensive selection of eyewear. The office staff seems stressed, but the optometrists are quite the opposite, calm and caring about the patients.
