Clearly board and care homes are not equipped to care for someone with dementia that is still mobile. After less than 24 hours we were told we would need to bring in care 24/7 until dad "acclimates", not at night but 24/7,we moved him back to memory care the next day. He is happier and we are happier. I would use a board and care for hospice only.
