My husband and I stopped at Applebees in Peru Illinois on 11-15-25. It was around 4:30 and not very busy. We didn’t order anything special. The 2 for $25 menu. I ordered the grilled cheeseburger and fries and my husband had the bourbon street chicken with our appetizer being the boneless wings with sweet Asian chilli sauce and ranch dressing for dipping. On Friday, my wife and I visited Applebee’s and had the worst restaurant experience we’ve had in over 65 years. After being seated, we waited 27 minutes before anyone asked if we wanted a drink. During that time, there was no acknowledgment or basic customer service from the staff. When we finally received a bottle of water, we waited another 22 minutes before a server even inquired if someone was helping us. We have been dining here for over 5 years. 3 to 5 times a month. Always enjoyed the food and service. Our service dog Chihuahua sits on the booth with us. Never barks or growls. Most often, no one even knows the dog is there, not even the waitress. Last time we were there, after being seated, the waitress said the dog had to be on the floor or we would have to leave. So we left. We'll not be back.

I had lunch at Applebee's yesterday with a friend. The food was very good, but what made it special was the service. The front desk greeted us so nicely, but I have to say that our Server, Shemika was awesome!!! She took the time to personally greet us, joked with us, came back a few times to see if were okay or needed anything. Her warmth and kindness were wonderful!! I hope next time I return that she will be my Server again. Kudos to Applebee's for hiring such a wonderful staff!!!

We visited the Orem Utah Applelbees on 7/7/25. We arrivied at 5:45 p.m. so we could order the Neighborhood Nachos on the 1/2 price appetizer menu. The Manager that sat us down was one one of color and informed the bar tender that we were in her area. She knew we were waiting for her because she made eye contact with me twice. She ignored us until 6:01, taking drinks from her glass behind the bar, cleaning up tables etc. @ 6:01 when she came over to our table, we asked her to honor the happy hr menu. DO NOT EAT AT THIS APPLEBEE'S. Food was the worst ever. A year ago I said never again..but my 3 friends said let's try it one more time. NOPE AND NOPE LAST CHANCE. I ordered the BBQ chicken nuggets appetizer (batter so thick we couldn't even cut the. In half) Ordered Salmon with potatoes and broccoli. Mash potatoes instant and so rubbery I could cut them with a knife. Asked for some butter to try and help them taste better.
