I called in a order at 5:45 pm, I arrived at Apple-bee's in Sumter SC, At 6:35 pm. I waits in the car for about 15 minutes no one came out. I went inside they were about 6 other standing waiting on they food. As myself and other's waiting they were laughing and playing around in the kitchen, then an argument break out between staff member. Someone final ask for my name I gave them my name and took a seat. I visited this restaurant on Sunday July 20th and was very surprised by what I saw. I sat at the bar, there was no bartender. Fans were running and the AC was out. Employees were walking and some scrambling everywhere. After about 10 mins I finally met the bartender. Someone had called out and she was trying to run the bar and wait tables. The kitchen was messing up and dropping things but this young lady was doing the best she could to do everything. WALKED OUT- As Did MANY. Understaffed, no hostess, no waiter. People seated even warned us about the service. We are literally giving the gift card back. NEVER AGAIN. Applebees is DEAD.

Applebee’s, Sumter, SC — stylish place, tasteless experience. At first glance, the restaurant looks cozy: booth seating, dimmed lighting, decent bar area — it gives off a promising vibe. But the food quickly shattered all expectations. The first dish arrived burnt and dry beyond repair. I might have let that slide, but then I discovered a long hair in my food (see photo).
