I just left this bake shop and was so disappointed with the costumer service, the prices, and the food. Got to my car and took a bite of one of the cakes I bought and it was terrible. The cake was dry and not flavorful. I thought it was just this cake but all three of the cakes I bought tasted awful. I will never be returning to this bakery again.

This place is so good! The pastries are fresh and delectable. The variety they have is incredible. The quality of what we tried was excellent. I will definitely make a point to go back whenever we are near Wilmington!! 5 stars!!
I've had some excellent baked goods from Apple Annie's -- my favorite is the pecan/custard ring, which I've been getting every year for the past 5 or 6 years. However, last fall/winter 2016 I bought a carrot cake that was so dry and so unlike any carrot cake I've ever had before--tasted like a badly made box mix. My mother and I threw it all out.
