I love both locations of the bakery shops. I have to say that the "ONLY" disappointment are the LEMON BARS~ where's the lemon filling. Me and my mother have made these for ages ~ never been as skimpy as you guys...I am a trained Chef...and before I was ~ I make some slamming lemon bars. The photo here shows what they should be..... more than a 1/4 of filling.

I purchased a 1/4 red velvet sheet cake for my granddaughter's birthday party at The Ice House in Wilmington Saturday. It was to be a sunrise for an 11-year-old. My granddaughter's favorite cake is red velvet but this one fell far short of any we had ever had in the past. The icing was very bland with no flavor at all. The cake was dry and not flavorful. The cream cheese icing inside was the only thing that tasted good. The sunrise looked like something for an adult rather than a child. All of this at the cost of over $71.00... read more
