Fabulous family experience and made great memories of a fun filled time. Staff were competent and safe minded, very helpful and polite.
We have our own kayaks but use Appalachian Trail Outfitters for their shuttle services. And they are amazing--prompt, reliable, and nice people. It's way easier than dealing with 2 cars and their facilities are spotless!
We had a great first-time tubing experience with Appalachian Outfitters! They were friendly and helpful over the phone, as well as when we got there and had a bunch of questions. I like that they have a couple of different tube choices and free ropes to link tubes together. The tube route is pretty short - it only took us maybe 25 minutes to the put-out point where you can walk back, but we did it a couple of times to make it worth our while. I would've liked a longer trip down the river.
The crew are great and the river is wonderful. Isolated but not remote. I hope it can stay this way. I love the convenience of AO too. Super easy. Great work you guys.
