Fun as always. My wife and son took me for Father's day, we had a blast. This is the third or forth year we have gone and it gets better every time. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The water was up this weekend so it wasn't as clear as it usually is, but to make up for it we saw a bald eagle and plenty of fish.
I've been down the Chestatee twice now with Appalachian Outfitters. Both times, I found the rental gear in great shape, the instructions clear, and and easy shuttle back from the take-out spot. Prices are fair for about three hours of fun on a beginners' stretch of river.
Great place. River was low but the guy Thomas still honored the double kayaking price even though we had to use singles to get down the river. Very friendly, helpful staff and super inexpensive for a family of four to spend a few hours together. Highly recommend.
Awesome place!! Friendly staff, wonderful time on the river. Son got a great deal on a used canoe this weekend during their annual sale!! ~~☆☆♡♡☆☆~~
