Horrible sound isolation. Can hear whatever it is causing thumps from few floors above
Stayed here for 2+ years when I was in undergrad from 2019-2021. Property management is excellent. Very decent people who are not anal about everything. Easy going and even though it’s a low budget building, the tenants were decent and no one shady. Package theft was an issue, so something to beware of since there are no dedicated package lockers or locker room. However, if you’re on a tight budget, this is the place to be.
I'm a traveler for many years and I recently stayed 6 months at Morino Apodment for my Seattle job. Everything was fine during my stay. However, they charged me $360 from my security deposit for 'a burn mark' on the carpet when I moved out. I don't smoke or cook in that studio. How in the world is there a burn mark? I would give this place a 5-star rating because I felt very comfortable during my stay. The price is reasonable, and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. It is also conveniently located near two bus stops. If you are a UW student, this is an excellent place to stay as you can easily take routes 49 and 70 to return to Odegaard.
Stayed at Morino for 3 months from March 2023 - June 2023. Great experience renting here as a student at UW. Very quiet neighborhood and never felt unsafe while walking back from UW at 11pm, which I frequently did. The shared kitchen on my floor was usually free. The proximity of the 31/32 and 45 buses was really great. Easy access to UW via walking or 32 bus, the UW IMA via the 65 bus and access to UVillage via the 32 bus eastbound.
