Avoid if you can We have been here for a few years and I must say that this is just like any other Inidian Grocery store. There is always one store that dominates the market (Mayuri) and then all of a sudden another store comes up, starts gaining market share and then monopolizes the market. The vegetables come in fresh on Thursdays, those left over from last week are packaged into pre-sorted packets making you think its convenient, but they are not fresh. Real good experience. They have practically everything for the homesick desi. Cheap veggies, frozen dinners, groceries and even pooja stuff. They have Indian merchandise like pressure cookers,cast iron griddles and Carrom Boards that you normally cant find elsewhere. The place is clean, spacious and service is fast. Especially good for products from Kerala. As with any other Indian store, watch out for expiry dates. Overall, a good recommendation.
One of the best desi businesses in US I have been to most Indian Grocery Stores in US and the thing differentiate Apna Bazar Bellvue from the rest is SMILE and CUSTOMER SERVICE .. Makes you think one sec that you are not in a Desi Store.. But hey, the store is full of all you need from India, Pakistan and Middle east.. Good Place to rent Movies also.
Good Desi Store in Bellevue area I do most of my groceries from this place. I feel Apna Bazar has better prices compared to Mayuri in the near by area. They give a DVD rental for free if you make the bill more than 35$. DON'T miss this..:)
Good indian grocery store.... THis place is worth a visit every week for the options / choices they have as compared to Mayuri as well. Some times there is a huge difference in the prices between the two stores and you might just get lucky to get it cheap. Moreover some vegetables are fresh though not always.
