I signed up for what I was told would be a month-to-month membership at Anytime Fitness, but now I discovered the employee had signed me up for a year-long contract without my knowledge or consent. I trusted the staff’s explanation and believed I was agreeing to what we discussed verbally, not a locked-in annual plan. A gym should be upfront, transparent, and honest with their members, especially when it comes to contracts.
