Simply put: Dr. Antoniades skills allowed me to have more time with family and friends. 3 years ago, after I had back surgery with another physician, a life and death complication one month later occurred. Hah back surgery Dec 21 2023. He tore the spinal core sack which created A leak he could not seal. Developed head splitting headaches. He sent me home in 2 days. Said I was ok. From the moment I walked in the door I felt like something wasn’t right. Dr. Antoniades is an outstanding surgeon who cares about his patients. I have two herniated discs that I suffered with for many years. The pain was on and off during that time until finally the pain was permanent. That's when I saw Dr. Antoniades. Dr. Antononiades and his entire staff was very professional and answered all my questions. Dr. Antoniades performed a Foraminotomy and even removed disc fragments that did not show up on the MRI. Dr. Antoniades performed surgery on my lower back (herniated disc and widened spinal nerve canal) about 13 yrs ago and did a fantastic job. I recommended him to a co-worker with two herniated discs, whose doctor told him there was nothing he could do, and Dr. Antoniades fixed his back as well. His "bedside manner" isn't great, but if you prepare ahead of time with a list of questions, he'll take the time to go over everything with you. When speaking with Dr. Antoniades, it was obvious he cared for his patients. He didn't push me into surgery, gave me my options and let me decide.
I had a very painful herniated disc, as well as a narrow spinal canal in my lower back and Dr Antoniades operated on me back in 2007 and I've been fine ever since. I had a coworker with two herniated discs and his doctor told him there was nothing he could do. I sent him to Dr Antoniades and after surgery, when he came back to work, he was completely fine and thanked me for the referral.
