Had such a great experience at lunch I went back the next day for dinner. Had the Portuguese Fish chowder and fried clams for lunch. The following evening I had the clam chowder and lobster dinner. I was reluctant to try the Portuguese Fish chowder as I had never had chowder with chourico as an ingredient; it is excellent! The clam chowder was the best I had in the Newport area. While it is very casual dining the quality of the seafood rates five stars.
As always, Anthony’s delivered! The spicy stuffers were yummy and I split the fishermen platter...I was stuffed!
Everything was so fresh and tasty. Chowder was delicious .

We grew up eating great fresh fish at The Jersey shore, so after we found this on Guy Fiery’s food sight we had high expectations and they did not disappoint!! Nothing fancy very casual great fresh fish! We had chowder clam cakes�, bellies wow, if our son picks RWU we will be here often.���

The food definitely lives up to the diners, drive ins and dives hype. Great food, big portions and the quality was amazing. It was my mother’s first visit and she is now hooked,she especially loved the chowder. I haven’t been to Anthony’s in a few years but it was just as good as I remembered if not better. Can’t wait to visit again while in town thanks for a great experience
What a gem. We had fish and chips, and calamari. Wonderful. Great service. We were visiting from NH.
They have the best seafood around (and at reasonable prices)!!
