update to previous review… i picked up my x-ray myself after being refused an mri of my thoracic spine… guess what! broken back! the practice manager called me prior to my discovery, i told her of my concern. nothing back from her. i’ve since made appointments elsewhere in hopes of getting the help and answers i went there seeking, only to be rushed in and out after an hour wait. don’t go here!!!
i left a good review after my first visit. fast forward, i broke my back again, showed up to her office in tears. i wouldn’t let this woman touch me with a 10 ft pole. after telling her i could barely get up at night in time to make it to the bathroom for the pain and asked for 1 or 2 weeks of pain meds, she referred me to a pain management specialist. Outrageous priced 700.00 plus dollars for a 2 minute procedure and no follow up whatsoever on the results as far as a resolution to the issue or anything for that matter. In out and boom, 767.00 bill saw and spoke with him maybe 5 minutes and a 2 minute procedure.West Florida is always a ripoff.
I don’t know where all these crappy reviews came from because I had a totally different experience with her. I didn’t find these reviews until i was searching for the office and about had a panic attack going in… Not even close! Dr. Henchey is very attentive and inquisitive about your issues. She offered great advice and ordered what i felt like were the appropriate tests. So, we’ll see how things go. I’m looking for a professional, not someone to coddle me…
She was condescending, did not listen to me, told me to "sit down!" when I got up to point something out on a paper that I brought with me with my medical information! She disputed the fact that I could change the settings on my CPAP machine myself. She said that was not possible, AND I DO IT! She had no answers to my questions and simply referred me to the sleep technician who was very helpful. No bedside manner at all and misinformed to boot!
Dr. Doerr is a highly respected and extremely knowledgeable surgeon in my opinion. He has saved my "bacon" (no pun intended) more than once. His bedside manner is impeccable, very caring and compassionate. You are in very good and capable hands under his care.
I had my vasectomy and consultation with Dr. Doerr. Couldn’t have asked for a more understanding and caring Dr to go through this with. Was very thorough with the consultation and bedside manner during the procedure was fantastic. Procedure took ten minutes and was virtually pain free.
I have been seeing Dr. Doerr since 2015 in regard to my prostate cancer. He is friendly and takes time in his examinations and in discussing my health and answering any questions that I may ask.
The foregoing assessments by other patients about Dr. Henchey are on target. Her lack of professionalism, inability to listen without interruption, absence of empathy, condescending attitude, and unfriendliness negates any skills she may possess as a practitioner. If she is asked any questions, she takes them as a personal affront to her ability and spends more time talking about her skills and abilities than being patient focused.
