Took about 2 years after asking to get a referral for a GI specialist in Milwaukee. I knew it was not just acid reflux. My child was throwing up every morning litterally daily and in the middle of night on the regular. I wanted testing done as I knew this was not normal. It was 2nd grade a GI referal was made. Upper gi normal. Stomach scope showed H- Pylori. A silent killer. Often mistaken for acid reflux but not common in the USA as it is non developed counteries. Trust parent intuition Dr. R
