Dr. Okai is amazing! It is truly such a blessing to have her as my MS specialist. I tell everyone she saved my life. She cares so much about her patients and has an excellent bedside manner. She remembers my name when I see her at the MS walk and always asks how my husband and kids are doing during my appointments. I always leave my appointments feeling heard and with a plan of action. I am so grateful for her.
I have only gone to the doctor once. There was a bad experience, from the start from office staff being very rude. They were supposed to schedule initial appointment and the person ensured she charged me, so I was able to come to appointment, but there was no appointment scheduled. I called back later because I had not received a reminder, etc. I called to confirm and said she didn't have the correct card information when I called to confirm my appointment. Dr.Okai is awesome. She literally changed my life and showed me how to manage my Multiple Sclerosis effectively. I am very grateful that God led me to her.
I had a bad experience from the beginning. Dr Okai does not take your personal experience into consideration and has withheld a prescription from me that is necessary for my illness. All I need is a prior authorization that they refuse to submit for a prescription that they wrote. When I was first seen, she indicated that I had to come in 3 months later with no other reason than "to get to know me".
