BEWARE of lies from ATA staff My adult son found a puppy at the library & no person in nearby homes claimed her I called to make the appt for spaying I started to give my name & address which is my first response when asked that question I told the woman on the phone to put my son's name & address & proceeded to give this info She interrupted me I was told that this can be done at the time the puppy is brought in on Feb. 24, 2007 It was discussed that morning at ATA that the microchip is free to my son to be placed in the pu... read more

I love these guys! Great service, friendly staff, and won't break your wallet. Staff took the time to explain what I should do to maintain my cat's health. I recommend them to friends all of the time. I wish I could take my cat to them for regular vet visits.

Wouldn't go anywhere else - treated my kitties like queens I brought in two 12-week kitties that I adopted from an out-of-town humane society (who didn't have any medical records). EVERYBODY at Animal Trustees was super-fantabulous, from the check-in person to the assistants to the vet. Patiently explaining what needed to be done and giving me clear follow-up instructions. Even did a Leukemia & feline AIDS blood test on the spot. Gave all the required shots, based on the vets' judgment, with follow-up date for boosters. They... read more

Great for who need it. I have taken multiple pets to this clinic for spaying and neutering and trust these folks with my pets' lives. They are compassionate, professional and caring. This is great to have a low cost facility available to all. THANK YOU ATA

Great Clinic for basic wellness appointments The prices here are fantastic for all the basic vaccines your pet will need. They also treat ear mites and have the lowest prices in the city for flea and tick prevention. They operate on a walk in basis so sometimes the wait can be longer but the nice people and lower prices more than make up for it. PROS: Best prices for flea prevention CONS: Sometimes a longer wait

Animal Trustees is wonderful! I am always pleased by how helpful and polite the staff is to me and my cranky little terrier. Once we had Spark's check-up on file, we were able to drop in to pick up flea medication as needed. I am impressed with the diligence and care provided by the (under)paid staff and volunteers that keep this place going. If it weren't for them, my little mosnter wouldn't have affordable care. Over the years, they have provided many free shots and snip services to dogs that are dumped on our land, withou... read more

Rude Staff Well...I have been donating and utilizing ATA for years and years. Today I was treated very rudely by not one but 3 staff of ATA on Cameron. I was in shock when a mentioned to a tech that the staff seemed to be upset and I had not ever been treated so rudely. The tech then threatened to call the police to have me arrested for animal abuse because I open-handed a light swat on my 75lb pittbull puppy, on his well-muscled rump to get his attention. He was refocused to mom's commands and all was well. A swat on a thic... read more

An inexpensive alternative for pet care Animal Trustees of Austin is a great place to get routine, preventive health care for animals. This means vaccinations, spaying and neutering, and wellness visits. They are very reasonable in price and accept walk-ins, though be careful to call ahead and find out when their busiest times are--sometimes they're pretty swamped and the wait can be long. Still, it's worth going to, and the staff is generally very nice, as far as I can tell from my interactions with them.

The care was GREAT, but Nina's attitude needs a complete overhaul. I feel that my pets were treated very well by the staff. The tech was sweet and professional, and the doctor went out of her way to make sure that my pets received the best care possible.Nevertheless, an ATA employee named Nina ruins the whole experience. She is the b!tchiest, most condescending, RUDE person I have ever dealt with in person or over the phone. I cannot believe that ATA has not received sufficient complaints about this employee to have her fire... read more
