I cannot say enough about the excellent care that my pet received at this clinic. Dr. Leka literally saved my very sick one year old cat that had been to 5 doctors and had 2 ER visits within 4 days and was close to death due to an obstruction. Dr. Leka agreed to see us the same day and he immediately communicated with the ER regarding status and chart notes. Dr. Leka gave me a tour of the pre surgical area, surgery room and recovery room. I am blown away by the thoughtful care and kindness Dr. Leka and Dr. Iguchi provided to my 17.5 year old Pomeranian. I spent my Friday night in the ER at VCA Alameda East after my dog had a prolapsed rectum. They performed two purse strung procedures that were unsuccessful and then quoted me $6k to $8K to do a colopexy at 4am. If we could give this office 10 stars we would! We were having an extremely hard time with our cat. We started at a different er that that told us George had an obstruction in his intestines and that he would need a $10k surgery or that he would be euthanized based on the X-rays. No pet parent deserves that stress or to have to make that decision. Our baby is less than a year old we couldn’t do that to him or ourselves. Dr. Jovanovic and Dr. Iguchi are absolutely wonderful people. The kind that are hard to find. They're educated, honest, kind, and in it for the right reasons. After one vet tried to charge me $4K for a surgery that would've cut into my pups face and neck, Dr. Leka and Dr. Asuka took their time to properly examine my pup. They concluded a different diagnosis altogether that didn't require surgery. They charged a good price for the consult and checked in with us a few days later.
