From one anxious pet parent to another, I highly recommend for your furbaby. Dr. Leka was amazing and got my dog in on short notice. This office provides a telemedicine consult totally free of charge. My dog broke her tooth and needed a tooth extraction. Our normal vet was closed and all other vets were booked 2-4 weeks out for any dental procedures. Dr. Leka was very knowledgeable and personable. I am blown away by the thoughtful care and kindness Dr. Leka and Dr. Iguchi provided to my 17.5 year old Pomeranian. I spent my Friday night in the ER at VCA Alameda East after my dog had a prolapsed rectum. They performed two purse strung procedures that were unsuccessful and then quoted me $6k to $8K to do a colopexy at 4am. I cannot say enough about the excellent care that my pet received at this clinic. Dr. Leka literally saved my very sick one year old cat that had been to 5 doctors and had 2 ER visits within 4 days and was close to death due to an obstruction. Dr. Leka agreed to see us the same day and he immediately communicated with the ER regarding status and chart notes. Dr. Leka gave me a tour of the pre surgical area, surgery room and recovery room. Dr. Jovanovic and Dr. Iguchi saved my dog Marley's life. I had first taken her to an emergency vet who said she had an obstruction but wanted to charge $7-8k for surgery, so i was referred out to Animal Surgical Care. When they took Marley into surgery, they immediately called me and told me she had a very rare condition called Mesenteric volvulus, not an obstruction, where her intestine was completely tied up and blocked off from blood supply. I will always tell all pet parents about the kindness, fairness, and honesty that I experienced at Animal Surgical Care. I will never forget how Dr. Leka was the only one who listened to me when my dog was injured and needed surgery ASAP, when everyone else brushed me off. Both Dr. Leka and Dr. Iguchi personally called and texted to follow up with my dogs recovery post-op, and reassured me that they were available to help if needed.
