Has a problem with recommending an alternate Vet for emergency care of a feline. I recommend Probst Veterinary Clinics 247 Springfield Rd, Hillsboro, IL 62049 (217) 532-5222. Dr. Probst accepts emergencies for all pets at 1/4 the prices of this clinic. He is a straight shooter who truly cares about the animals, not making big bucks off the Customer.

Dr. Helgen and her staff are very caring and are very concerned about your fur babies health and well being. I trust my fur Babies lives to Dr. Helgen because I know that she wants only the best care for my Babies. Even when Dr. Helgen was really busy, she still took the time to see my Babies. She really cares!
Dr Hellen is amazing and so gentle with our little Maggie! I would recommend Animal Medical Center to anyone needing vet help for their babies!
Our rescue, Zeke, developed pancreatitis and diabetes during our 2 1/2 years together. He received excellent care from Dr Helgen during this time. Sammy went above her work duties to help care for our Zeke. She is a very kind, caring, compassionate person and I am always happy to see that she is working if we have an appointment. We still have our fur baby Oscar and he also has received nothing but the best of care. Highly recommend Animal Medical Center.
I have been with Animal Medical Center for 30 years and I am very happy with the care that my dogs and cats have had over the years, first with Dr. Pastrovich and now with Dr. Helgen. The Dr. and staff are so caring and attentive to my Abby, Cali and Emma. They were also so caring and comforting during my Zoe’s illness and passing. I want to thank them for being so kind during our loss. They all know how much a part of the family our fur babies are. Thank you❤️🐾🐾
