I have been a client with Animal Medical Center since 1998, and their level of care has been consistently exceptional. Over the past 28 years, they have provided outstanding medical attention and compassion for all of my pets. Dr. Heithcock is an excellent veterinarian, and David, the vet tech, is remarkable with my pug. Their professionalism, kindness, and dedication make Animal Medical Center truly outstanding.
The Vet tech incorrectly weighed our dog so the meds prescribed also had incorrect dosages. I called hoping to correct the problem but was told that I had to bring our senior puppy back to verify his weight. I explained that it was not logical that a 14 pound dog could lose half of his body weight in a 9 month period. I guess I was just frustrated that they did not consult his previous records then. Do not come here. I brought my dog, Phoenix, to Animal Medical Center on July 19 as an emergency because he could not properly use his hind end after being injured at PetSmart. What has happened since has been beyond frustrating and unacceptable. They performed X-rays, bloodwork, a joint tap, and other testing. I was told Phoenix had polyarthritis and was sent home with medication that was supposed to help him improve. My daughter & I called when our sweet Boxer, Byrd, was actively passing & they told us to come straight in, no hesitation. The staff & doctor were very kind & caring & explained the euthanasia process clearly to us. We were so grateful for their compassion & blessed to be able to spend Byrd's last few moments with her.
