RecommendedVery clean & well maintained facility. This is the nicest humane society I’ve ever seen & it would be a dream to work here if I lived in New Mexico. Met the senior kitty MAC and this beautiful long haired tortie. Very friendly and welcoming & very well organized. Loved the designs of the cat rooms & that they had the cards on the cages so that you could read info about them instead of having to ask every time. As someone who works in animal rescue and is an animal cruelty investigator in training, bravo! 5 stars for sure.
I adopted a beautiful kitten about two weeks ago from the Westside location. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The facility was clean and the animals all looked really taken care of.
We adopted Elvira, whom we renamed Jade, one week ago. She is the sweetest kitten. My three boys absolutely love her. Animal Humane has been very helpful with any questions that we have had. I would definitely adopt from them again.

I had a terrific experience. The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable. I left with everything needed to succeed in taking the best care of my new pet for life. Although there are some signs she’s spent most of her 2 years in a shelter my cat is extremely confident, social and playful. She had absolutely no hesitation making herself at home. She’s extremely well behaved, no accidents, uses the litter box, eats well, no hiding, loves to cuddle and play. She was on her back asking for belly rubs the very first day. Really... read more
I've been volunteering here since 2015. The way they run this organization is amazing in a lot of ways. There are some humans that could learn how to behave. Perhaps they should attend one of the behavior classes... just my opinion but people will be people. The animals receive very good care. Mostly from this gal ;) ADOPT DON'T SHOP!! THE MONEY GOES TO CARING FOR THE CRITTERS!! Breeders are greedy and only care about $. Awww yes I know puppies are soooooo cute but think of their mother. The staff is awesome and very helping and nice the center is clean. "Jesse" made our adoption experience very pleasant and we love our dog we came home with. i very strongly recommend Animal Humane if your looking to adopt a pet, their amazing here! Thanks again Jesse you were too good to us today😊
