Twice I have called his office with a question about my husband's hospitalization a week ago. Both times it was about something that happened at the hospital. Both times I was told he can't answer my question unless he sees him as a patient in his office. Today the hospital called us about an upcoming procedure that was scheduled that we are unaware of and is not mentioned in discharge papers. Horrible doctor. I was admitted to the hospital with an abnormal ekg, needing an echocardiogram and to see a cardiologist. The ER doctor was concerned about my heart, which understandably made me nervous as well. Dr Verma was assigned to me; I waited in the hospital for 2 days and he NEVER once came into my room to see me, to exam me, to talk to me, etc. And instead, he just canceled my echo (“because it’s the weekend”) and discharged me WITHOUT EVER seeing me or discussing ANYTHING with me; literally, he never walked into m... read more
I would not recommend Dr. Verma to anyone. My 84 year old father had a heart attack and Dr Verma was assigned to his case. His bedside manner with my father was atrocious, he gave my father no hope and he told us there was nothing they could do for him. He spoke to my husband on the phone as my husband is a doctor, and when I called later in the day to ask him a question he screamed at me on the phone and hung up on me. Dr. Verma’s knowledge and compassion is so reassuring. His office staff is kind and helpful. My husband has been a cardiac patient for 22 years. His dedication, care and manner toward his patients is second to none and I am so happy that he has become my doctor and also a friend. Dr Verma is an incredibly skilled cardiologist, who I highly recommend to anyone in need of a heart doctor. His care for my 93 year old father has been beyond reproach. He successfully performed a PCI procedure, putting in 2 stents to address severe blockage of arteries. This is now the best my dad has felt in years. Dr. Sameer Verma is wonderful and we recommend him wholeheartedly. He is caring for my mother, and though I am in New York, he calls and keeps me in the loop. He is extremely professional and straight forward, with a caring bedside manner. He's a true team player if working with other doctors and is on top of his game. Dr. Verma is a find!
