Chicken Vesuvio was excellent! Along with friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere it made for a wonderful dining experience.
Went here this past weekend because in the past I have never been disappointed & I have a long drive to get there. Well, it finally happened! Though the Eggplant Parm was good, I ordered the Arrabiata sauce over it, (because I like spicy), and it was extremely disappointing!! The consistency of the sauce wasn't right, looked more like chunky salsa (not saucy at all) & tasted like I was biting into a tomato...no seasoning or spicy flavor at all! It was like they crushed up some tomatoes then forgot to add any of the seasoning... read more
Normally one of the best around. However, had what was supposed to be Arabiatta (spicy) sauce and what we received instead was pureed tomatoes with very little seasoning, and no detectable spice or hotness at all. If we didn't have some cheese in the entree', it would have been nearly flavorless. Disappointing, but at least the sauce (or whatever it was) was fresh. Now I have to look for a new place to go. Too bad.
