Instead of telling me to go to the ER room she could sit down and listen to my concerns. My head has been swelling where the shunt is throbbing with pain in the neck. I've been having this shunt in since I was 15 years old and it's not hard to access the shunt and understand maybe it needs to be changed. I was told my Dr. Nevel that the shunt I have isn't even used anymore and it was discontinued. So how many people with old devices have to keep them in?
