Dr. Bohnen’s team were the first to take me seriously when I had a severe, excruciating bulged disk that left me bed-ridden for 3 months. An ambulance crew left and said “make an apt with your dr”, a previous spine clinic sentenced me to PT which made it worse. After seeing the MRI (I had to plead a previous specialist for) they set surgery for me asap and once complete, I felt instantly better on day 1 of recovery. Dr. Bohnen and her team honestly saved my life.
Dr. Bohnen, is wonderful! So down to earth, practical and easy to talk with. I’m so grateful I made an appointment for a 2nd opinion with her. With the 1st surgeon I met, I felt pressured to have surgery like I was buying a used car. It really concerned me b/c I felt like I was having little to no symptoms that warranted surgery. Dr. Bohnen was a breath of fresh and a voice of reason! No pressure to have surgery and gave me very solid advice on what do to manage my mild symptoms as well as what to watch out for in the future... read more

I had multi level laminectomy performed by Dr Bohnen after several epidural injections. Dr Bohnen's compassion and expertise cannot be be matched. Her entire team and everyone at Neurosurgery One could not be more professional and a true pleasure to work with. Thanks to them all for a job well done.
