I got transitional, progressive glasses there three years ago. This summer there was an internal problem with the lenses. I took them back and they said they weren't covered for three years because most people change their glasses every two years. I insisted and they fixed the glasses for free except for the transitional part. They said I would have to pay for that again. Best Optometry Shop I have been in! Nicest, best-stocked optometry shop I have ever been in. I saw a lot of specialty frames, including Oakley, which is a favorite sun-glass line of mine. They are open seven days a week, have glasses at every price range and owner is super nice.
Wow! They have every type of designer sunglass and frame here. Very nice selection...had a hard time deciding which one to get. Check it out.
The best value I have found! This is the second time I have purchased glasses here. I am budget minded and so I checked all the chains - Walmart, Costco, Sears, etc., and Andrews Optical offers the best value. The knowledge of the optician/owner is what makes the difference. She took the time to put me in glasses that will work best for my situation. The wide range of frame choices it the best I have seen. The perfect blend of what you get at a private Doctor's office and the variety and price range from a chain.
Best in Carlsbad I've been going to Andrews for 5 years, I just got my new exam at Costco and they don't have any lens selection, so I go to Andrews. She has more durable lenses, unlike Costco, who don't give you the time of day either. Went in on Thursday, and she called me on Saturday to pick it up! Unbelievable fast service unless it's a complicated Rx/lens, it's maybe 5 days. $69(coupon mailer), and she takes some insurance, I just gave her the form.
Andrews Optical is top of the line with variety & cost I stumbled into Diane's shop 15 years ago, and I haven't shopped anywhere else since. She has an amazing selection of frames, great prices, and first class service.
