I have never been charged with a crime in my life, and had no idea what my next steps should be. I reached out to a few legal offices and realized I will likely ask for a public defender. Andy returned my call immediately after he got out of court, and I told him upfront I probably can't afford his services; he gifted me 15 minutes of his time, anyway!
