I was referred to Dr Kontos by another dermatologist when I was found to have skin cancer. She referred me because Dr Kontos is trained in MOHS. I found him to be very attentive, caring and up to date with the latest treatments. He and his office staff are all very pleasant. My care has been excellent and my surgeries successful. I would highly recommend Dr. Kontos.
On June 19, 2020, Dr. Kontos performed a MOHS on my right ear for an emergency removal of a malignant growth; the entire experience was fraught with urgency for my part, but Dr. Kontos took the situation and solved my problem. As then as now and going forward he shall have my undying appreciation for his expertise as a professional, consummate surgeon and as an understanding individual.

I can't say enough about Dr. Kontos and his staff. I wish all my doctors had his personality and expertise. Dr. Kontos has performed two MOHS surgeries on my face. Both times, the result was fantastic! One surgery was rather routine while the other involved a considerable amount of the top of my earlobe necessitating a skin graft from my neck to reconstruct it. The graft was perfectly done, the ear looks perfectly normal and there was minimal scarring. As a bonus, Dr. Kontos is a really nice guy and has a great sense of humor. He really made me feel less anxious.
The first visit was rewarding, in that the staff was welcoming, professional and curteous. Procedures were always explained, good music of your choice or the Dr's, a little humor. Second visit etc., everyone knew my name. Dr. Kantos sewing skills are excellent.
Dr. Kontos is extremely professional. During my initial consultation, he explained my upcoming Mohs surgery thoroughly and addressed all of my questions and concerns completely and without rushing. He has employed a top-notch staff to support him as well. I have highly recommended him to my family and friends.
