Dr Spellman is an uncaring, unsympathetic physician. On my first visit, he told me for my arthritis in my lower back, "There's not much we can do for that." I left feeling so depressed. I had a follow up today, and he was quite rude, to be honest. Don't go there if you're looking for pain relief. And NEVER, EVER ask for opiates. You will be told they are not prescribed. I left there feeling like the lowest form of human.
I have seen Dr. Spellman many times for spinal injections and RFA treatments and I highly recommend him. He was respectful of any concerns I expressed regarding these procedures and explained the processes in easy to understand terms. Dr Spellman is very skilled at what he does and I completely trust in his competence.
I have been going here for a few years, they are always kind- understanding and care about your pain. From the front office throughout the clinic Dr Spellman is wonderful Thank you Metro Pain
Used to be a good place but since staff changes , office help is not very good and nursing staff was extremely rude and argumentive (also someone I've seen before): which is not good for a pain specialists office. l wont be going back !!!! THIS WAS AT THE WEST DES MOINES OFFICE.
I have had 3 nerve ablations with Dr Spellman over the last 4 years or so and he has always been professional, kind, and does a great job with the procedures. I plan on continuing care with him.
