We became incompatible as an MD and patients. I found better care for myself elsewhere.
-NP Sharraine Wilson had no clue to almost every question i had. -Was given a specimen cup to provide a urine sample. The cup had blood on inside before i had opened it -NP Shawnda Pointer consulted with me before my surgery and assured me i would be taken care of afterwards. Was in excruciating pain because i was supposed to be switched to something else after the surgery because my body had adapted to current medication. Dr. Cottingham is an excellent doctor. He listens very well, and explains MRI and x-ray findings, and answers all questions. He is patient, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. His office staff and medical assistant were also very professional and friendly. I trust him completely, and will go back to him when I need to. I gave him an A+.
All he wants to do most recently is implant NEVRO SCS, thinks he's Great - NO he is NOT! Implant was not tettered appropriately thus causing me incredible PAIN which he DENIED. Getaway as fast as you can.
His Office staff makes it pretty much impossible to see him. They WILL NOT follow up with you. They do not return calls. On my last visit he stood me up. Nurse said she would call me to reschedule. It has been 3 months - no call! I’m going elsewhere!!!
Dr. Andrew Cottingham is a very caring Doctor. I highly recommend him.
I was referred to Dr. C by my PCP for an extreme pain issue in my knee that was triggered by a cyst resting on a nerve on my spine. 6 months ago I underwent an epidural, it wasn't successful on the first try, but the 2nd, I was pain free for 6 months. We tried the epidural again, but didn't have the success of epidural #2. Dr. C referred me to a neurosurgeon and we'll have to see how that goes. I am very pleased with Dr. C. and will go back to him should I need a pain dr. again.
Very knowledgeable, great bedside manners, excellent surgeon. My ESI went great! Highly recommend!
