*Dr. Casden is an excellent doctor. My surgery was a success & his post op care was excellent.
I found that he spent very little time discussing my concerns regarding the issues I was having with my back. He told me I will not get better and immediately recommended back surgery! When I offered that this was very aggressive as I never had any back issues, he told me well it’s my decision and it’s a quality of life issue….. I’ll be moving on!!!!
Dr. Casden was dismissive of me and my chronic back pain. Because I did not fit his narrow criteria for surgery he made me feel unheard. I was disabled and unable to work or function. He did not care. A surgeon at HSS listened to me and diagnosed me with a life-threatening condition that could have easily ended in paralysis. Dr. Casden said that any surgeon would be crazy to operate on my back. Thank God I did not listen to him. I was operated on two weeks ago by a world-renowned surgeon and am on my way to a full recovery.
